How to choose boxing gloves

When choosing boxing gloves, there are several factors you should consider...

Beginner, fighter or casual athlete?
The gloves are marked with the standard numbers 8oz, 10oz, 14oz, 16oz.
This number represents the weight of the glove in ounces. Basically, the rule is that you choose the size according to your body weight. The main criterion when choosing gloves is how often and for what type of training you plan to use them. If you are only a recreational athlete, use gloves occasionally, want to box at home or in a gym, or with friends on your pads, choose 10oz gloves or 12 oz.

If you are starting this sport, go to regular training sessions and would like to spar in the future, definitely invest in 14oz size gloves, if you weigh more than 80kg, feel free to buy the 16oz size.
If you are already a fighter and train regularly, we recommend buying one pair of gloves of a smaller size, e.g. 10oz for bag and pads use. We recommend a second pair, larger 14oz or 16oz sparring glove. Your sparring gloves will therefore not wear out so quickly if you do not also use them on the bag and pads.
Professional Muay Thai fights often require lace-up gloves, usually 10oz.

Gloves for women
Since combat sports are currently very popular for ladies who want to improve their figure and have a great workout, a large number of gloves are now being bought by women. Of course, the offer also includes beautiful women's glove designs, in colors that women and girls will appreciate. For ladies who only box as cardio for weight loss, without sparring, we recommend 10oz gloves. For ladies who also spar, it is advisable to invest in gloves of at least size 12oz if your body weight is up to 60kg or buy a larger one, i.e. 14oz if you weigh more than 60kg.

Gloves for children
The age of the child is very important here. Children's size gloves are made for small children. For older children, from 10 years old, we recommend buying 8oz or larger gloves. We will be happy to help you with your choice.

Leather or synthetic microfiber?
The gloves we offer are either leather or made of microfiber. Leather gloves are usually more expensive than synthetic gloves. Cowhide is used in their production. From experience, leather gloves are more durable than those made of synthetic material. If you train often and for a long time, we recommend investing in leather gloves. If you train regularly, but rather at a recreational level, gloves made of synthetic microfiber will be enough for you. Thai manufacturers Twins, Fairtex and Blegend use quality materials, the cut is the same as leather gloves and they are much more durable than brands made in Pakistan
