What training equipment will I need
When choosing equipment for training, it is of course important at what level you engage in combat sports.
If you only go for recreational boxing on a bag and pads, it is essential to have quality gloves and hand wraps that protect your hands. If you are just starting out with this sport, but you want to engage in it regularly and you also plan to spar, the basis of the equipment is quality gloves of size 14oz. During regular training, it is good to have second gloves, for the bag and pads, e.g. size 10oz. Hand wraps are essential to protect your hand
If you practice Thai boxing, kickboxing or MMA, you will also need shinguards. If you spar regularly, it is a good idea to invest in your own helmet, which provides protection against blows to the head. It is equally important to have a quality mouthguard. You will definitely appreciate the ankle bandage, which strengthens the ankles and at the same time protects them from scratches and other injuries, e.g. from the velcro on the gloves.
